I would just like everyone to know that when I watched Peak Time, I knew immediately which group they were because the only Prince I know in K-Pop is in this group, and I'm very proud of how they did. Prince's reels also give me life, and I'm absolutely gleeful every time he posts a new one, but they're also the reason why I knew his group. I have since listened to some of their songs, and really, they're quite a good group. I don't know much about them as a group, but the music is generally good. I have a few of them in various playlists.
We've got some nice mellow vibes from the group this time, but also featuring science fiction warbling occasionally as well as my favorite addition: the audience participation snapping. I know that OSTs in K-Dramas almost never feature already released music (though they can be found in the show, just not as part of the OST), but you cannot tell me that this song isn't such an OST that all it's missing is the actual show. I can practically see the music video now. And do you hear what I hear? An actual acoustic guitar. I never hear acoustics, they're always electric.
The rapping in this song is so limited, but the moments of rapping the song has seem like they literally just went for a hug of a song. There's one glaringly obvious rap section that can't be disguised as a vocal section, and it pops into the song at exactly the right time to inject a heavy dose of energy into the songs, but it never actually alters the loveliness of the rest of it. It's really very sweet.
And we got a full slice of life music video. I assume part of it was filmed specifically for this, but other parts are clearly recordings from behind the scenes of photography sessions, concerts, and music shows. It's really very sweet. I love being able to just bask in seeing them enjoy being around each other.
