Just A Little Fangirl Love

 Well, awards season has gone into full swing. So, these posts are going to start being really thin, if last year is any indication. But not yet. This week is pretty full. First win for some songs, which is delightful. You'll notice an extra stage down there and I want to address it first. So, there I was, trying to decide which group and song to do for my The Show stage I now share with you all. And I ran across this song. And I thought to myself, "I absolutely have to share this with everyone. I need everyone to know this song exists." But I didn't think that I wanted it to be the only stage I shared because, let's be real, it's a little odd while simultaneously this is kind of the ultimate I.N song. So here you have a song about bread by a duo who also have a song about vegetables and a song about curry.  And speaking of Stray Kids, in honor of the last JYP group to win a Daesang at the MAMAs, I  found out that they were on ASC back in 2014 for episode 103...

I appreciate it for what it is and does. I just can't stand the sound of it. And because I'm so aware of it, that's basically all I can hear. Which is a problem.   This is the first week in a hot minute where I've actually already had the songs reviewed in full! It helps that we had two repeats, but I'm also excited about the two first wins for songs on here! And we got a Triple Crown for JUMP even though it has not been promoted! Whoo! The Triple Crown also means that next week, we're guaranteed a new win on Inkigayo, which is helpful for the other groups.  With After School Club still on hiatus, here's the re-run for the week. It's actually pretty fitting because I'm starting to migrate into wanting to actually learn about the members in the group rather than simply loving every single song I hear from them. That's right, it's episode 458, featuring a 2021 Dreamcatcher! This was convenient because it made it easier for me to connect some of those personalities to their names. We'll see if it sticks.   Big 3 Company domination this week! And! Even cooler! We got the first Triple Crown in a while! We don't have as many videos as I'd like, because one of the songs I don't think has been promoted on music shows, and one of them I had to go back to a week prior for the performance, but still. Only Inkigayo did not have a show this week. For After School Club, I think this is the most recent re-run I've shared. It's episode 629 from 2024 and the group ARTMS for their first full album! Aron was the only one MCing that week as Allen and Taeyoung were absent. The angel dance from the dance challenge was cool to watch. It's really pretty. (Also, Aron had to wear angel wings and I couldn't be happier about this, I remember absolutely cackling when I watched it live because of how adorable it was). Wow, NCT DREAM has been sweeping the music shows this week. Congrats to them, and well done, fans. You worked hard successfully. Aespa caught another post-promotion win, which is good. There wasn't a showing of MCountdown this week, likely because of MAMA, which I just realized yesterday while I was looking at some BIGBANG stuff needs to be MAMA and not MAMA Awards because that's redundant and would be MNet Asian Music Awards Awards and all I can hear is that one guy from the Doctor Who episode being all weird about ATMOS System for the exact same reason. I really don't like the character, but he does have a point there. Everyday, there's something new to learn. On ASC, we had the project group The CrewOne from Ace of Ace , and they're still not fully cohesive, but the survival show helped as a trial by fire, I can guarantee it. It was nice seeing them and Cravity get to hang out sort of without it being a stressful situation like a survival show and without compet...

I think the sleep deprivation that I'm still trying to catch up on has made me not be able to think critically. But! This is my favorite of the NCT subunits (not that I actually know who all is in the subunit other than Mark), and I'm very excited to see what they're doing this time around. These instrumentals stay so far out of the way of the vocals that if there weren't segments where I can definitely hear them, I'd think this song was mostly acapella. Part of that is how much they do with the voices, and the other part is the instrumentals are so...
