The vibes of the instrumentals are Ice On My Teeth, without that glorious violin and a little more tropical leaning. The three title tracks of the trilogy are certainly related, even if they're flavored differently, which is pretty satisfying. The mellowness is deliberately controlled, not effortlessly smooth, but right now it's not something that I'd call predator-lying-in-wait.  There are some songs, beloved by fans, where it feels like the song just gets forgotten in the basement after release. I have quite a few songs like this, where the likelihood of the group or soloist performing the song in a concert is pretty low and I know that, but it doesn't change my love or my hope. Dune  is also one of them, and I'm not alone in this, because it was submitted via The Form by someone who also loves this song. I'm sorry it's taken so long, but the two car accidents in a week (neither of which were my fault, I feel like I have to clarify that I am not irresponsible, just horrifically unlucky) have made it so that I'm doing things as I feel like and also when I have time that's not spent on mental and emotional recovery.  But! That also means I get to sit with this song as I slowly work through it and take my time. Because Dune  deserves a lot of attention and one day, we may get to hear them perform it live. One day. Aespa got the triple crown on Inkigayo this week! ATEEZ and WayV got their first wins with their new songs. There were no performances on either Show Champion, nor MCountdown, nor were there any wins for either program. Jay spent a lot of time singing on ASC, and there wasn't an MC Challenge, which I'd be upset about, but he sang so much that I can't be upset. Also, he did a quick cover of Mariah Carey's Christmas song, and his vocal runs and the quality of his tone just makes me melt a little inside.  Just as a reminder, the links in the chart go to my reviews, and the link down on ASC is for the full hour program. Ooh, I'm excited for this one as it's the first comeback (that isn't a Japanese release) since I saw them in concert. For the record, the two that surprised me the most with their raw levels of charisma that had me fully entranced were Seonghwa and Yunho, so with that new awareness, I'm a little nervous. Okay. Because there are some of the Korean songs that I'd absolutely love to have the instrumentals for. Oh, well. I didn't listen to the last Japanese release with BE:FIRST just because the timing was bad, but ATEEZ apparently enjoyed working with them on Hush Hush  because I see that one of their three songs on this single joins forces with them again. Maybe it's because I just watched ONEUS perform Kick It  on Ace of Ace, but this sounds like an NCT 127 song, especially that opening. Although I have to acknowledge that the flute warble in the intro sounds really familiar and it sounds like a movie, and not NCT 127.
