 Alrighty-roo. I went back and took a look at some of the songs I shared with y'all in the other Halloween posts, and decided that I'd put this one on the short list for October this year. The shortlist is twenty songs long, for the record, so I'm not going to cover all of them right now, but I thought that this would be a good one to follow a behemoth of a group. As I said in the Halloween post in 2024, I wouldn't have discovered this group and this song if they hadn't released a new song. Ish. Seriously, this is an underrated group and it's impressive they survived as long as they did. They made it the full seven years of their contract, which is four more than the average girl group, so I just want that acknowledgement for them. Also, their fandom colors are Joyful Green and Cheerful Yellow, and that's just so precious that they actually have colors and what those colors are called.  Howdy, folks and cowfolks!  Starting off with the debuts! I actually have one still sitting in my drafts so that will have to happen eventually, but I also only covered three of the others: CLOSE YOUR EYES , ifeye , and SWEET:CH . I'm still frustrated by certain trends regarding girl group debuts right now, but the two boy groups didn't frustrate me in the same way.  Also debuting were  SKINZ (a virtual boy group), TSSJ (a virtual girl group), VVS , OSDS , HITGS , and  UDTT . I mentioned it in the review I wrote for one of their later songs, but there's also a boy group called VVS and that's also the name of Vanner's fandom. So if you're into that debut, be aware that there may be some future confusion. Hopefully the company changes the name. It's been known to happen.  I love Halloween. It's been my favorite holiday for literally my entire life. I have loved Halloween longer than Sangyeon of The Boyz has been alive, barely because my first Halloween was a couple of days before he was born, but according to my mother, even at the age of not-quite one years old, I have loved it. She dressed me up as a San Francisco 49ers cheerleader. I have pictures.  One of the most important things, then, is finding music that matches the Month of Spookening and horror. I love spooky movies. I love spooky books. I love spooky video games (even though I am a wuss of the nth degree and prefer to watch other people play them). And I love spooky music. THUS, this post is simply going to be a compilation of some of the songs I've added to my Halloween K-Pop playlist. If I were to add all of the songs in there, this post would be ages  long. Release date: 2024 October 23 Album tracklist: Joyful Green (Korean Version), Joyful Green (Japanese Version) Album runtime: 6 minutes  This song was the group's Japanese debut a few weeks ago. You might then be forgiven for thinking this is a young group, but they debuted six years ago, and are only a couple of weeks younger than ATEEZ, though the average member age of this group is also younger considering DreamNote's leader and ATEEZ's maknae are both 00z. I'd say that their Japanese debut is overdue in this case, but I'm curious to see what the song is like. I've never heard of this group before, and that's the joy of this little blog of mine. As a side note, they have a song called Ghost , and if I like this one, I am 100% checking out that one to see if it'll do well in my Halloween playlist that I'm building.  I'm also squinting at that runtime because I had to round up to it.
