Song Review:: In A Minute: BGM : HOW WE RISE - PLAY- How We Do

Image
Release date: 2025 August 25 Album tracklist: Press Play, How We Do , 5ive, At Dawn Album runtime: 11 minutes  These guys were not on my radar for a new release, at all. But, thankfully, YouTube's algorithm has my back. And you know the best part of this? Even if it's only four songs, this is their first mini album! Whoo! The runtime is abysmal and I'm looking at the title track specifically in horror, but while I'd like to say something positive about this, not a single song is over three minutes. It's so unnecessary, you know? But I am diligent with this group because they need love and I really like them.  Going into this, if you were to tell me that the two-and-a-half minute song had a dance break, I would have laughed in your face. Across the board, the song could benefit from about another minute in length, so keep that in mind as true for both instrumentals and vocals because I don't want to repeat myself, and I'm not going to. There's a funky gro...

Song Review:: In A Minute- Tell Me Why

Image
Release date: 2025 June 12 Album track list: Tell Me Why Album runtime: 2 mi nutes  These guys are a pretty recent debut . But I'm super into supporting this group in general that I'm more than happy to recap. All three of them are experienced idols, two of which debuted back in 2012 in the group C-Clown. So they're full adults with some actual maturity to their voices. I don't know who else besides me really likes to hear the more mature voices, but I'm super into it, even if all three of them are younger than me. I don't like the runtime, though. That's not what I'm here for. So at some point in my life since I started paying attention to movie soundtracks. there was a movie trend where songs like this were always featured. And because time is a soup, I can't be positive with it, but I think Spy Kids may have been one of them. I can't recall any specific song from that movie, nor do I remember when it came out, so this is possibly the least hel...

Song Review:: In A Minute: UNBOXING: WHAT YOU WANTED- WHAT YOU WANT {Debut}

Image
Release date: 2025 March 15 Album track list: Unbox, WHAT YOU WANT Album runtime: 6 mi nutes  After learning that Under 15  is still a thing and being both flabbergasted and nauseated by this, I really, really appreciate that these three are both adults and also experienced idols, all three having been in the project group Tan and two being in a duo together and formerly from another group. Also, the leader of the group was the vocal guide for some BTOB and Pentagon songs, which honestly tells me everything I need to know about the quality of this man's voice. Two of the members, Juntae and Jaejun (who also debuted previously as part of C-Clown back in 2012) are part of the 97z with Chan and Mingyu and Jungkook. The maknae is part of the 00z with Jongho, Seungmin, and Chani. That does mean that Jaejun debuted at the age of fifteen, which isn't okay, but it's been thirteen years and once he hit eighteen, C-Clown's discography opened up for me according to my rules anyway...
