April 2026 Wrap-Up: Party in the Desert

 It's not that I delayed this on purpose, but I needed to settle from the 3/10 star weekend I had at the beginning of the month. Sixty hours of stress, anxiety, and frustration. I will also never be going back to El Paso. NU'EST could literally come back and do a single concert, only in El Paso, and I would not go back. I would be begging Aron to add literally any other stop, but I would not be going back to El Paso. The city hates me. The people are lovely, but like I said. 3/10 stars. One of those stars was the pizza I got, because wow that was delicious. Okay, debut time. Group debuts I covered: KEYVITUP , hertz.wav , MODYSSEY , UNCHILD . Soloists who debuted that I covered: Somin (APRIL/KARD) , ALL'N , Kangin (Super Junior) , Vari (NINE.i) . Songs I was looking forward to: TOP (BIGBANG): TOP IS BACK, BABY! KickFlip: I was a little shaky with them on debut, but they have since won me over strongly. I like these kids. TOMORROW X TOGETHER: Do they get songs of a decent len...

Greatest Hits:: F.T. ISLAND: Wind

 Am I slightly delaying doing the reviews for today? Yes. But you know what else? I'm genuinely looking forward to doing this one. They were technically one of the first groups I listened to (their song, Hello Hello  is the sixteenth song added to my workout playlist out of one hundred eighteen and most of the first twenty are NU'EST and BTOB), and I didn't even realize they were actually a band for months. I just really like that song. So, why am I doing this? Because some lovely, lovely soul left this for me in The Form, which means it needs some celebration due to it. First band to go into this list that I've done as well, so that's fun and exciting. Wind is the title track of their tenth anniversary album, which is a special album and could be considered their seventh Korean album. It was written and composed by Lee Honggi, and composed by Illusion, otherwise known as Ki Hyun Il, or Ray if we're talking about his C-Clown days. Lee Honggi is the lead singer ...

Song Review:: F.T. ISLAND: Theory of Happiness

Image
Release date: 2025 May 05 Album tracklist:  Theory of Happiness Album runtime: 4 minutes  I've actually got a Greatest Hits submission for this group awaiting my attention (so look forward to that), which really isn't a hardship because one of their songs was one of the first kpop songs I started listening to. Hello Hello  is also in my workout playlist, which I haven't been listening to as much as I'd like because my shoulder is not up to my normal workouts right now. Recent issues aside, which all feels like a mess and I'm waiting to hear the result of that whole thing, I really like this band. Granted, as I've mentioned before, I really like rock bands in general. They tend to vibe on a frequency that settles my brain really well. I also have a soft spot for this band because my second kdrama, Korean Odyssey (AKA the final nail in the coffin that would eventually lead you to be reading these words right now), has the main vocalist in it as one of my favorite...
