Song Review:: TIOT: Time for us- Five Hours in Pieces

Image
Release date: 2026 October 01 Album tracklist: Tell Me, Five Hours in Pieces , I'll Be Okay, fool Album runtime: 14 minutes  I'm going to try my very hardest not to be as behind in October as I was in July, August, and September. Starting with TIOT.  I left this on repeat while I got up to go grab some salami because I just wanted to enjoy the song for a moment before I got all scrunchy between my eyebrows from listening. The answer is that I really just like this song. It's comfortingly energetic, which is a weird combination of words, but this is definitely a rock song with a comforting pat to the head. It's also very pretty, especially the very introduction, which is why I wanted to just spend some time with it. Like, genuinely, even though I'm not super paying attention to it, I've literally had it on repeat for roughly forty-five minutes and I'm just chilling with it. Alright. The rapping is very intense compared to the rest of the vocals, but it's ...

Song Review:: TIOT: MY PRIDE- Every Ten Minutes {Pre-Release}

Image
Release date: 2025 September 23 Album tracklist: I'm The One, MY PRIDE , I Don't Wanna Wait (IDWW), Every Ten Minutes Album runtime: 13 minutes  I have two of these to do for this release. Okay. Pre-release first, then the title track. Also, I thought this group was a lot older than they are. They're barely a year-old, and I apparently still do not remember who this group is. One day, I'll remember, I promise. There are just a lot of groups that debut and I have a lot in my head to keep track of. This is my first mini album with the group as previously, I've only done singles, so this will be interesting.  The song is very laidback and very chill. I did find myself zoning out a little bit while I was listening to this, which is not ideal, but it does mean that if someone is looking for a song to calm down to, to sleep to, to vibe to, this is probably a good candidate. It would also be a really good candidate for an acoustic version. Generally, the song has upbeat an...

November 2024 Wrap Up: Awards Season Is Upon Us!

Image
 ðŸŽ‰ðŸŽˆðŸŽ¶ Happy birthday to meee! And also my best friend! She's amazing and smart and talented, and I love her.  Thank you all to everyone who has read any of the posts or offered suggestions for my GH or BBS posts! I really appreciate it. And, excitingly for me, I've got a couple more regulars, so I'd like to personally thank y'all for finding my posts before I get them either on Tumblr or Reddit.  This post is always so long. Oof. But it's also thirty days to cover, and I still have to leave things out.  The debuts that happened this month that I covered:  Yuta (NCT)  as a soloist and with his Japanese debut,  Sungjin (DAY6)  as a soloist,  Jin (BTS)  as a soloist, Irene (Red Velvet) as a soloist, The CrewOne , ODD YOUTH , LOVEONE , and izna . Some debuts that happened this month that I've mentioned:  ToTh6y ,  13Found ,  KELT9b , and  KJRGL . Some debuts that happened that I didn't know about: UN1CON , W!TCHX , and...

Song Review:: TIOT: Take It Slow

Image
Release date: 2024 November 11 Album tracklist:  Take It Slow,  Take It Slow - Radio Edit Version, Take It Slow (Inst.) Album runtime: 12 minutes  I had to refresh myself on the group and the last single they did that I reviewed. I need to remember that they're the Boys Planet group, not the official one, but given how many of them were on Boys Planet, it's a fair description. And I also have another single of theirs sitting in my drafts that I apparently need to review. I guess I'll get to it eventually. But in the meantime, I should watch some of their content so I can actually attach a member's name to the group. That'll help. I am happy as a clam over the runtime. Don't mind me, I'm just over here basking in a four minute song. The title is probably going to be appropriate for the style, and so I have some expectations on what I'm going to hear, but if I don't, that's fine too. Not going to lie, when I saw "radio edit version", I d...

Song Review:: TIOT: The Long Season

Image
Release date: 2024 October 02 Album tracklist: The Long Season , The Long Season (Inst.) Album runtime: 6 minutes I recognize the name as a group, but otherwise know nothing. So, I'll take a gander at them so I know what I'm working with. I'm hyper aware of young groups right now because there's a debut coming up with a maknae who only turned fourteen (14) this year, and I cannot support that. As in, she just turned fourteen. Like, last month. But I already have a plan in place for the review of their debut track.  It seems TIOT is a 2024 debut, and this is their second single, first since debut back in April. They've been busy bees the last year. That's good. The other good news is looking at their ages, only the maknae is a minor, and he had already turned seventeen before they debuted. The maknae is also the only one who was not on Boy's Planet, so that's interesting. I actually liked some of them when I watched the show a couple of months ago. So if ...
