Just A Little Fangirl Love

We're almost finished with the first quarter of 2026! How is everyone feeling? Good still?  We've got girl group dominance this week for the wins, including a first win for a song! Whoop! So for the After School Club re-run, I grabbed an early episode, ep. 22 from 2013 featuring the boy group History! (side note, that sequence of groups is a little incredible because you have NU'EST, then History, then BTOB, then BTS). And I picked that clip to go as the embedded video because you get them singing a capella. For the The Show re-run, I went with Verivery from 2021 and the extra stage is from Show Champion for the OnlyOneOf subunit QQQ, which debuted recently! I also decided to include an old stage from Show Champion because I ran into it and the choreography is both adorable and hilarious, but their voices send me. But since we were thinner on the recent stages, I'm giving you that extra one. As always, the links down in the spreadsheet go to my reviews of the songs an...

Release date: 2026 February 26 Album track list: UNCOOL , QtoresQ, Rainbow shade, Burnaway (into the fire) Album runtime: 13 mi nutes  The debut of a new subunit is always an exciting time and considering what group this is a subunit of, I'm very interested. I haven't listened to a lot of the base group's songs, but the ones I have, I've found very interesting. The members involved in this subunit are KB, Jisung, and Nine, which is apparently a very interesting combination considering Jisung is the former leader of OnlyOneOf, who left the group in 2021. I have to say, that has me forcing down some strong excitement because there are some groups who have had members leave that I'd love to see return. So while I haven't gotten to experience this necessarily first hand, were that to happen, I'd probably spend the entire music video bawling my eyes and heart out because of how happy I was. I can empathize with those fans. And every single one of these songs is o...

This is what happens when I get behind. Groups and soloists I don't expect to get wins get wins and then I have to hurry up with those reviews. Congrats and happy birthday to Lee Chanwon, though! I have no idea who this person is and I'll learn when I do that review (the answer is a trot singer and y'all should take a listen to that voice of his. Wow. I would live in his voice specifically but the song almost made me cry because of how much I love it.) (Also his light stick is one of the cooler ones out there). And congrats to &TEAM for their first music show win! On The Show ! Imagine that!  I'm not bitter at all about that cancelation! For the re-run of After School Club , I decided to hop back to 2019 and share episode 375, featuring "the group equipped with powerful yet soft ubersexual charms". No, no. I'm not kidding. That's the title of the episode, word-for-word quoted. And I picked this group because their contracts with their company end...

Release date: 2025 February 05 Album tracklist:  Stay Album runtime: 4 minutes  This is one of those groups that I've heard are really good, and that I've heard quite a bit about, but I haven't actively sat down and listened to them or really know anything about them, so it's all hearsay at this point. Because I currently know nothing about them, I do need to double check on ages so I know which of my review writing processes I'm going to be using for this song. Is it a pre-release single? I don't know. If it is, I am very much loving the implications of the entire album with that runtime, but if it's simply a single, then I'm even more pleased by this because that's a proper song length. And fun fact, the maknae was twenty when they debuted, so there's not even lingering guilt. Proper adults. Excellent. Also, they've been around for a while. They're only a little younger than ATEEZ. We've got some lovely science fiction vibes to this...
