Song Review:: INFINITE: LIKE INFINITE- Dangerous

Image
Release date: 2025 March 06 Album track list: Heat it Up, Dangerous , Way you are, Umbrella, Sad Loop , Where U R, Dangerous (Inst.) Album runtime: 23 mi nutes  I've seen some clips from their stage performances for this song, mostly the endings, but this is also INFINITE. I have high expectations for the group. Second gen powerhouse that debuted at the tail end when there was a sudden uptick in the number of groups debuting in a year, they've survived a lot and continue to thrive. And also, on principle, it's good and healthy for the industry to keep the older idols going rather than disbanding or retiring them because they aren't young and novel any more. You'll remember that I loved Sad Loop when it was released last year. Well, let's hope that they can do it again. Also, keep in mind that that run time includes a track that's only a minute long. One of the songs ( Umbrella ) is almost five minutes long. Glorious. This is what I like to see. And there...

Song Reviews:: INFINITE: LIKE INFINITE- Sad Loop

Release date: 2025 March 06 Album track list: Heat it Up,  Dangerous , Way you are, Umbrella,  Sad Loop , Where U R, Dangerous (Inst.) Album runtime: 23 mi nutes  I was about to be disappointed that this was a single-track single, but then I realized they've been sparse on the releases since they returned from military service (I'm assuming based on the fact that they're a boy group and there's a four year gap). So two singles in the space of a year is better than nothing. They're busy. They've got things they're doing. At least they're still putting things out as a group so the fans don't completely panic. Also, I just really like that they're a second gen group and still releasing music fourteen later. Those are boy group goals. The instrumentals have some cute little upticks with the synth in places, little whoops that help to ease the poignancy of the piece. But otherwise, we've got a soft rock ballad here overflowing with emotion. It...

Song Review:: L (INFINITE): 24/7- What's Not To Love

Image
Release date: 2024 August 05 Album tracklist: Intro, What's Not To Love , Blue Summer, My Universe, Talk To You, What's Not To Love(Inst.) Album runtime: 18 minutes The little I've heard of INFINITE, I've liked. I don't think I could name any of their songs off the top of my head, but I'm sure that if I checked my one playlist, I'd be able to find one or two. They are in the sweet-spot for the groups I like best, after all.  The guitar is lovely. It taps into the country music lover in me. And a harmonica? Could there be instrumentals more keyed specifically for me to love them? Go ahead and read that with Chandler's voice. You have my permission. The song is chill and mellow and lovely easy listening. My grandmother, if she was alive, would probably have absolutely adored this song. Who needs complicated synth and fifteen different instruments when this is fantastic simplicity? I'm surprised that this is the title track because it seems a little ...
