 Ah, Zico's kids. Bless. We're starting off the year with a single, and it's a proper single instead of a multi-track single. This is their first digital single, the whole group are eighteen or older, and they've been pretty busy the last little bit. These are all things I like. Also, they turn two this year! How exciting! May update: turns out that was actually a pre-release track. It's cool.

That's a dramatic keyboard to start this thing off. It's almost the equivalent of flinging open double doors and throwing a long coat off to the side while posing. It's got a deep-rooted funky streak to it that holds the song hostage the entire time, from when it softens into silence or near silence to the fun-loving dance break at the end. I've got a pretty strong idea of what the choreography could be for this one. Of course, I'm fine if I get it wrong. But this song demands choreography. 

Every time the song started over, I was reminded of another song, but couldn't place it for the first three to five listens. And then I managed to attach the words I was singing in my head to the group, which was actually The Rose. I'm reminded an awful lot of one of their songs from some sections of the melody. This is genuinely just an enjoyable song to listen to. The different vocal textures, even if the song doesn't have a completely wide range of pitch, do an excellent job of being different enough to keep the song in a state of motion and flux. I really appreciate that in a song.

This music video is so stinking cute. Like, what is that? Definite, obvious storyline. Recognizable emotions. I'd love to see this performed with a band. This is just an adorable music video, but for the youngsters who are closer to the target age group, it probably feels like you're being seen.
