Just A Little Fangirl Love

Release date: 2026 September 30 Album tracklist: Pulse, LOUDER , Lucky Charm, LOVE ME, Seize The Night, Fantasy, Odd One Out Album runtime: 20  minutes  I feel really bad for the groups that debuted either right before or during the Covid shutdown. They've had an uphill battle from the start, even more so than the normal uphill battle every group has. I wish Cravity could get more attention because they turn seven next year. The start of this instrumental immediately reminded of The Avengers (the theme song from the movie), and then it went a little bit harder and grindier than the start of the song implies. It's appropriately titled because this is a loud instrumental and rather metallic in places. This will make a great workout song, but I think it's a bit too much for me right now. The stages of this song are probably great though. We've got an excellent range of the voices in this song. A lot of the singing is quite high, and then there's the much lower, more s...

Release date: 2026 September 28 Album tracklist: 360 (Feat. MABELZ), YueBei, I See You, Dexire, Inward, 4give, 9 Album runtime: 14 minutes  Did he give us another addition to the horror songs he previously has dropped for us in his solo stuff? Both Psycho and Limbo are in my Halloween playlist, I want you to know. This is an odd set of tracks with almost half of them under a minute. It's an interesting choice. Removing those three, we're looking at about a three-minute runtime for the average. Jun, I know what kind of choreography this song needs because that is a strong beat right there. THe instrumental also gets sparkly at the end with what is possibly a bridge. It's a fun combination that does a lot for the song in its variability because otherwise it's more of a basic dance track, which is a crime against his talent. There's a lot of repetition is what I'm saying. But the beat is doing a lot of the heavy lifting because this obviously has the choreography t...

Release date: 2026 September 10 Album tracklist: Devil Youth Club , Beat Don't Stop, Hot Stuff, She Got That, Devil Youth Club - Instrumental Album runtime: 15  minutes  Oh, good. Their company isn't completely useless. I've actually really enjoyed how much their younger sisters have been getting to do, but I've been getting a little worried since they hadn't released anything for two years. But I'm glad to see this, even if it's short. I'm even happier to see an instrumental on this so that I can just enjoy the instrumental part of the review without having to try to ignore the vocals. We've got some kid voices in here, which fits the name of the song. And if my ears don't deceive me, we've also got a spooky Halloween scream in two places. Is this the season's first spooky title track? Have I missed others? Probably. There's something a little bit jarring about the instrumental in places with the screeching that interrupts the comple...

Release date: 2026 September 15 Album tracklist: A Story Like A Movie; Four seasons, and you ; Nameless Star; Evergreen Album runtime: 15  minutes  My cat's bias is pulling out the Latin for his album title, I see. I'm not kidding. I'm actually glad that Changsub is in a different country from me because there's no risk of him ever meeting T'Challa and T'Challa deciding he loves Changsub more than me. In more serious news, this morning I saw the vocal challenge that Jongho did of this song and I about swooned. Partially because of the Mayfly crumbs, but also because even without hearing the original, Jongho and Changsub have such similar timbres that I think Jongho could actually and properly do justice to one of Changsub's ballads. Which he obviously did for the vocal challenge.  Also, nearly four minutes a song. I love this man. It looks like the entire mini album was written by the same people, which is fun. This is a fascinating instrumental. It actually...

Release date: 2026 September 18 Album track list: Open Your Eyes Album runtime: 3 mi nutes  It's partway though September and I don't think I've reviewed a song from September yet. Starting with Close Your Eyes and their song called "Open Your Eyes" feels a little bit funny for me. Which is why I'm doing it. Also, the maknae turns eighteen at the end of the month, so this is the last time I'll probably need to bring up any of their ages. Not that I have been because I haven't needed to. But still. This makes it official. Why does the instrumental sound like the preset on a keyboard? There are a lot of instruments going on in here and it's a little distracting with exactly how much is going on. Jaunty little tune, though, despite how discordant it is. But it's very jazzy at the same time, so discordant is sometimes the name of the game anyway. But goodness, there are a lot of instruments. As an instrumental-only, I would absolutely be jamming ha...
