I was actually looking forward to this music video dropping, because as much as I love the title track, I was always surprised by how much I like this song every time it plays.
Is there a genre of rock for haunted rock? Because if there is, this is it. If there isn't, well, there is now. It's eerie in a comforting, energetic sort of way. The tone of whatever is going on with the instrumentals is established at the very beginning, and it is carried through to the end of the song, even though more present instruments help to ground the song, but the drums in particular aren't always where I'd expect.
Their singing is absolutely gorgeous. The melody is beautiful. Their harmonies are practically perfect. Where other groups would be shackled to the breathy sound, ITZY is able to have sections not only where some of the members don't have to be trying to compete with dolphins, but they get to support their voices with their breath and actually sing.
That music video is gorgeous. It's ethereal and dark and exactly as spooky as I hoped it would be. The splashes of choreography mixed in are beautiful teases. This song really is just lovely. I don't have a lot to say more, because anything else will simply be effusive praise.
