Song Review:: ALLDAY PROJECT: ALLDAY PROJECT- LOOK AT ME

  • Release date: 2025 December 08
  • Album tracklist: ONE MORE TIME, LOOK AT ME, YOU AND I, WHERE YOU AT, HOT, MEDUSA
  • Album runtime: 17 minutes

Congrats on the first full album! I'm really tired and we all may know by now that they're on Underage Protocol because of certain choices in styling and speech. Will I pull them off? Eventually maybe. It depends if they reflect and stop doing that. Although apparently I was a top listener of FAMOUS on YouTube Music this year, which is wildly hilarious. I'll have to check again later and update this if needed, but with the runtime, it looks like it may be close to the 18 minute mark. I'm not positive though, so I'm putting it as 17 for now. It also looks like we may have some solo action going on? I can't listen to it because of the aforementioned U.P., but that's an interesting choice for a group that hasn't hit the one year mark if true. Although funny, every time I see the title, that audio starts playing. I honestly don't know what the "Look at me! Look at me!" is from, but I'm amused before I listen.

This is a pretty mild sound compared to what we got out of them at the beginning of the year. I kind of love that heavy beat, especially because it's not omnipresent. We've got a couple of different genres going on, which I like. It stabilizes the skittering really well without being constantly there and smothering everything else going on. And the fact that there are multiple spots where we get rapping over silence, or near silence, which I enjoy as something that doesn't come up as often in music. Honestly, this is a song I could love, so this is an  unfortunate situation.

One of the girls has a gorgeous voice and I'm glad she's really getting to show it off. I'm also glad that the two vocalists got to sing together because why have a co-ed group if you're not going to use both kinds of voices at the same time? It's something unique to a group like this. The rapping is so interesting. Very smooth. It's got spots where it sounds very much like a children's song, which I suspect is the point, and I love when groups drop their names in songs. This does have the short version instead of the long version of their name, but it's fine. Close enough.

This music video is like a cross between a bank heist and Five Nights At Freddy's, which makes sense since they're of an age and generation to potentially be obsessed with the franchise. It's an interesting dichotomy with how intense this music video could be, but then it's buffered by the child-like chorus.
