Song Review:: The Boyz: Still Love You- Still Love You

 I am rooting so hard for Ju Haknyeon right now. Anyway, I kind of love how consistent the group has been for their winter releases. I'm assuming that's what this is given that the first song on the single is called "The Season". Good news is that the title track is almost four minutes long, which helps to compensate for the the third track being as short as it is. And, of course, happy anniversary.

You know how there are some songs that don't try to do anything groundbreaking, but instead try to be the best example of what they are? Yeah, that's what this song is. It hits just about every story beat exactly where it should be, with the expected build of energy and the expected shifts of instruments with enough layers and variations to keep the song from being static. This makes it a very solid, middle of the road song.

This song seems to be designed to make for a very soft hug, and you know I always enjoy the hugs. This is a comfort love song focusing on the stability of respect and trust. This also seems to be designed to be on of those songs that doesn't look to energize the listener almost at all. I really like this. It's a good way to end the year from them.

I love the slice of life music videos, especially when they're paired up with a hug song. This one is adorable, and I found myself smiling at how sweet and cute they seem. I have only one note, and that's wanting to know which member saluted, because with Sangyeon enlisted, that means the 97z are up to bat next year, and the group has at least one member in that age group. Because that stressed me out and I don't follow the group that well (although I do have Sangyeon up on my enlistment wall). But it's a very cute music video and it's a great gift for Deobi.
