 DAY6 gave us a Christmas song! Yes! Could I have just added it to my Christmas post for the year? Yeah, but I really love DAY6 and I'm kind of on a roll. So, here we are. 

Ah, I love the bright and fun Christmas songs. We've got some bells to help brighten the normal band insturments they usually have, and those bells are the standard addition to make things seasonal. We also get some brass instruments, and one of them might be a French horn, which honestly would just tickle me pink if it was because when they show up, they're great, and they're another standard addition to make things seasonal. 

This is such Hallmark song, and I love it. I cannot wait for the music video. We've got a gorgeous melody for the vocals, and I really couldn't be happier about this. And the lyrics are great too. Like I said, total Hallmark song. I do feel a little bit like this might be one of those songs that has a completely discordant music video, where the song is all bright and happy, but the music video is apocalyptic and about finding that special someone even when the world sucks. You know the kind I'm talking about? But I'd be fine with it. I like the dissonance between super upbeat and horror in any other circumstance.

Oh, my gosh, it's stop motion animation. And I'm fine with it not being apocalyptic because this is just the cutest thing and it's sad! But it's happy sad! And now I'm crying! Oh, it's just so precious.

2025 Music Show Recap

 And that's it, folks! That's a full year of the music show wins! Which means it's now time for the recap and data analysis! Delicious, delicious data. Now this is on the assumption that I counted correctly. I did double check my numbers to make sure, but I could have had a mental blip somewhere at the exact same time or skipped something twice. It's possible. I am however about 97.35% positive that I have correct numbers in the raw data and that I did the math correctly before dumping it into the spreadsheet for chart creation. Because I like charts and numbers. Not enough to take any math classes in college, but enough that I've always done well in and enjoyed math. Song Review:: Kyuhyun (Super Junior): The Classic- Like Our First Snow

I assume so based on the fact that we have a song called "Like Our First Snow" but it's also not even the first one of the season. Such is life. You think you're prepared for something and then the unexpected happens. But here we are. And as a side note, I'm thoroughly delighted that I understand the Korean of this title! But also, there's only one song that's shorter than three-and-a-half minutes. Bless him. Are you ready for me to squeal delightedly over this instrumental? Because you should. This is absolutely gorgeous. It's soft and slow, with the occasional weighty drum to hold the song down and give it depth. The piano almost makes me want to cry a little bit from how lovely it is.  I was so busy this month. Y'all. I didn't do a ton of the reviews, which is coming back to bite me in the butt now that I'm trying to get my year end post worked on. It's fine. Past Fangirl hates Future Fangirl, and it's completely fine.  July debuts! I only did a single review for a debut group this month, and it was for AHOF , who has been doing quite well for a rookie group. I may get 1verse reviewed because I still feel guilty about not reviewing them. Debuts I didn't cover: CrazAngel (girl group), Tomatomat (girl group), 1verse (boy group), 4X4 (girl group) and SEVENTOEIGHT  (boy group).   Big Ocean JJ (subunit of Big Ocean) also debuted.  Okay, everyone! Last one of the year! Whoo! Let's finish this off strong. Since it's likely that everyone will be reading this after we've hit the new year, no matter where we are, I'm just going to say Happy New Year! May your days be merry and bright! Make sure that you drink enough water and get enough sunlight!
