Song Review:: fromis_9: White Memories

 If this isn't a Christmas/winter song, I will be so sad. It looks like it should be. The title looks like it should be. But we have had a dearth since I started the Christmas/winter list of songs, and I want more of them. I also really hope that fromis_9 is doing well and happy in their new home. 

It sounds like one. So I think this is in fact a duck. I do have to say that I'm a little bit surprised that we have a few different song shifts and transitions because that's not the most common thing with this genre of song, but I like it. You know what else I like? This song uses the full three minutes of song to do something with them. Instruments come in and out. It ends somewhat decisively like a firm nod. It's just pleasant.

Their voices. This is the real reason why I like this genre because we get a lot of big vocals and demonstrations of vibrato, both of which we get here. There are also parts of this song which remind me of Chewing Gum by NCT Dream, which is one of my good vibes songs and I'm delighted by this. They sound so good. Vocal quality is top notch here. Excellent.

I think this is a really sad song, but they're very smiley. It's a bit of an interesting dichotomy. On the other hand, they look absolutely gorgeous. I do have to say that as much as I like the white costumes, I like the red ones a lot better. This is such a happy sounding song, and yet. Well, that's a time honored tradition. The choreography is really cute too. We have a cat pulling a sleigh, which is delightful. But the best part is the "after credit" where they're just kind of vibing and being cute, and the very end when you can hear everyone laughing at her is just kind of precious.
