I could have sworn I'd done a review on them, but apparently I didn't. They debuted last April, so before I started writing these, and they've already lost a member, which...I feel bad for her, but if the group makes it to year five, it's better for the group that they lost her early. Oh, they lost the leader. That's...not good. Also, the group is on Underage Protocol until July 2026, because the maknae was fifteen at debut. At least it's less than a year I have to wait until she's no longer a minor because I refuse to support children debuting that young. But, since I have a bit of a breather, I'm going to get this one done since I didn't do it earlier because I'm still on my mission for the smaller groups.
This is very much club music, which isn't what I normally like to listen to. It's too short of a song to really do anything with it, other than be part of a party playlist, but given the title of the song, that seems very much the vibe that they were going for, so well done on that point. This is a very pulsing beat heavy song, with some other interesting things going on occasionally, but the dominant focus here is that beat.
You know what this song really could have benefited with the pre-chorus? An edge. It stands out like a red thumb so much from the rest of the song that I can't even appreciate how nice the softness is. Part of it is because the instrumental doesn't change as well so the vocals stand out and not in a good way. It's really unfortunate. I'm also not overly fond about the amount of repetition, but I recognize that that's part of the genre and also part of the limitations of the song length.
Ah, so this is another group with a goblin/trickster concept. Interesting. Well, at least for this video. This is the first song of theirs I've heard, so I can't speak on any previous concepts they may have had, but certainly, they're goblins for this one. It does mean that part of me wants them and xikers to have a team-up because I think that would be interesting. This was actually a pretty cool music video though. I liked it.
