Song Review:: Apink: RE : LOVE- Love Me More

  • Release date: 2026 January 05

  • Album tracklist: Love Me More, Fizzy Soda, Birthday Cake, Sunshine, Hold My Hand

  • Album runtime: 15 minutes

It's really funny. A couple of weeks ago, my friend brought up Apink, wondering if they'd done anything recently. And I told her that they'd dropped a single that year, but also that I'd seen a teaser for this album about twenty minutes before she asked that question.

This instrumental sounds interestingly first gen. I'm really trying not to get distracted by their voices because it's going to be quite complimentary when we get to that part, but be aware of that coming up. The song is energetically gentle, with a solid, but not deep, percussion line that holds up the rest of the song. There are brief pauses where the song has a moment to breathe before moving into a new section. And at the very end of the song, delightfully, we've got audience participation snapping. The end of the song also reminds me of the Besaid track from FFX. As that's my favorite video games, and also one of my favorite tracks from the soundtrack, so I'm pleased by this.

The vibrato here in this song gives me life. These are full-bodied voices, well-supported, and with so much vibrato that I think I'm legally required to enthusiastically love it. I'm not anticipating a ton of heavy choreography from this group, so the points where the vocals are a bit breathier aren't too much of a concern. But the chorus specifically has so much vibrancy to it that it doesn't matter anything else that happens through the rest of the song.

The members are obviously snow witches because they are not wearing enough clothing for somewhere so cold. The music video is kind of millennial beige though. Most of the colors here are white, beige, or gray in the first half, and then it gets very spring colored, which I appreciate because I'm not a millennial beige kind of Fangirl. I like that chorus choreography though. It's nice.
