- Album runtime: 5 minutes
My girls dropped a new single! You almost just got a lot of capital letters and while I am mentally shouting I don't want to scare y'all away from my enthusiasm over this group! I can't wait for how weird the music video is. They've gotten second gen weird music videos and I love it. I'm disappointed by the runtimes for the two songs here though, but at least the title track is closer to three minutes than two.
The restraint I'm having to use to not just watch the music video. As a side note, C♡NDY.exe is a delightful little song.
That is a lovely bass for the beat. We get some spots where the bass goes away which immediately changes the sound of the song, but we also get quite a few where it's just the bass. The overall drama level of the song is medium, but it's still solid enough on the whole with good movement and flow that this song moves well.
Here's the thing. The bits of English in this song give it a very specific vibe. However. I know, and, if you've been paying attention to my reviews or the group itself, you know that they have very cute songs with some unhinged music videos. So I'm looking forward to that. Now, vocally, this is also a cute song. Even the rapping is kind of cute, but the good news is that even when they're being cute, it sounds like their voices are well-supported, which will be helpful for them when it comes time for the choreography.
A shoe vending machine. You know, even with the shoe vending machine, the first part of the music video is actually kind of normal. And then we just wander into horror. Actually, that weird blend of "this is actually a horror movie, but it's fun" reminds me a bit of SHINee's Married to the Music and Close Your Eyes's Snowy Summer. But this is what I come here for with this group. I also kind of feel like this song might be commentary on infantilizing idols,
