 Triple Crown this week! Grand Slam (still not sure of the term) this week! Congrats to the rookies!

For the After School Club re-run, YouTube actually gave me one I hadn't seen yet when I looked the show up. So you all get it. Kevin (singing voice of Mystery Saja) is absolutely adorable in this and the entire group is hilarious. Ep. 73 from 2014, featuring U-KISS! For The Show, I went with Wonho in 2022 with Eye On You. And I'm only giving you one extra stage this week, but that's for a debut in the form of NAZE!

I'm writing this before the frantic rush of the next few days in terms of releases, because competition there will be fierce. There are a couple of track names on this album that I'm definitely interested in, and so I'll be listening to the whole thing after I'm done with this. "So" is apparently my word for today. This song would be very easy to turn into an acoustic version. I mean, we are talking laughably easy. I haven't heard a song where I could hear the non-existent acoustic version this strongly. DJ Khalid) , 1 to 13, Candy, Rain, Water Album runtime: 18 minutes As excited as I am to see them in about two weeks, I really wish their schedule wasn't as packed as it currently is so they could give some time to their second promoted track. Well, and so they could properly promote their first  title track, but I think I've accepted that part of the unfortunate circumstance. Hopefully they get a little bit of a break at the start of the year. I don't remember if I said this on LFM's review, but I had to round out to get to the 18 minutes. Release date: 2025 April 9 Album tracklist: Mess , Mess - Instrumental Album runtime: 5 minutes  Do I have to do the title track for his new mini album? Yes. Will I get to it soon? Yes, because Episode  has been getting wins on music shows! Yay! I'm slowly getting my backlog worked on, and I wanted to do this one. However, I'm deeply disappointed by the runtime. I mean, look at that. But this is Kang Daniel, and I've come to realize how good his voice is.  There's something very old about the instrumental track. I can't decide if it's the plink of the high notes on the piano or if it's from the slightly staticky overlay to most of the song, or maybe it's both, as both of those elements are found in music from the thirties. Although, to be fair, the one isn't necessarily on purpose but rather from the degradation of the recordings. The rest of the instrumentals aren't from the thirties. Music Show Wins:: Week of 04/22 - 04/28

  The BigHit domination continues, with the one to follow BTS being their very own little brothers. It feels a bit like they were passing on the torch, which makes me smile. There was also a Grand Slam (still have not looked that up and no one is correcting me so we're assuming that I'm correct) this week, so congrats! Surprise! We got three extra stages this time: two from Show Champion and one from Show! Music Core . Obviously because TXT won, I had to add on an ALL'N performance (please refer to last week's wins if you're unfamiliar with their adorable meet-cute in the elevator). And interestingly, that performance has a surprisingly high number of views for a freshly debuted soloist not in a decently sized company or from a group, more so than some of the other stages I shared. So in the event that I do get confused, I will check Melon for confirmation that the song I think is the title track is actually the title track. It's basically the only thing I use Melon for, but I do wish more streaming services would do that. Even before I started this, I liked knowing which song I was "supposed" to listen to (and ignoring it anyway because I come from CDs and didn't understand why one song was special when the album had seven others that I loved to pieces when I was little).  Last of the girl group submissions for the moment, then I get to move on to some of the boy groups, but it's not just boy groups. There's a co-ed submission in there, which is such a yay from me. I'm excited for that. But! I'm also very excited for this, because she is a second gen heavy weight, reigning champion of an artist. Award-winning. Best-selling. Chart topping. And that's just her as a soloist, that's not even counting the years before that as the leader of Girls' Generation, which is one of the most well-known groups to come out of K-Pop. I admire her a lot, as you can tell, and I also think she's really cool. And funny. I don't know if she's generally known for her humor, but I think she's hilarious. She's also fairly out-spoken which is something else that I admire about her, but the group turns eighteen this year. Song Review:: Wheein: adagio- The Symphony of Fxxkboys

Release date: 2026 April 16 Album tracklist: The Symphony of Fxxkboys , Truth Hurts  Album runtime: 6 minutes  I think she was the last one to release a solo song (I'll get to Solar's, I promise) leading up to their twelfth anniversary, which is so impressive. And I know I don't talk about her quite as much as I do Moonbyul and Hwasa, but I still love her voice and I think she's so pretty. And she's also really funny. Whole package. And the title of this song sends me back to high school, which was the last time I had to deal with any of them. Ooh, she's giving us a bit of a rock song. Having that during the chorus is a good choice because it helps strengthen the vocal build, but then during the build where it's just a piano, then slamming into the rock again changes the mood of the song from just being pissed to more of a declaration. I also love how the rock has an interrupted rhythm because it strengthens the power of the vocal punch. And you have all of ...

As a side note, I was deeply amused by James's valid crash out over the new-and-false version of the alphabet song. Fun fact, the ememememoh problem kids can have is easily fixed by instead singing it to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star until they get it, and then switching to the correct version. We didn't need a new version. I don't know what role James takes in the group, not a clue, but I have a feeling that this may take up some of their next album, HYBE permitting. Speaking of HYBE, two-minute title track. Alright. This had better have something big if this is going to be two-minutes long. And, it doesn't. The instrumental goes nowhere. It sounds nice. After the mourning period is finished, I'll update this if one is released. BTOB continues their new trend of releasing a single a month, which I believe will happen for at least the next little bit until they can get their next album out. I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that. But ending the year with the Healers of K-Pop is a good way to end it anyway, so even if they don't continue it through January, I'm okay with this for the presents they gave us already. I'm a little disappointed it's under three minutes, but at least it's close. I really want to talk about their vocals, but I'll stick to my pattern and do the instrumentals first.
