Did he give us another addition to the horror songs he previously has dropped for us in his solo stuff? Both Psycho and Limbo are in my Halloween playlist, I want you to know. This is an odd set of tracks with almost half of them under a minute. It's an interesting choice. Removing those three, we're looking at about a three-minute runtime for the average.
Jun, I know what kind of choreography this song needs because that is a strong beat right there. THe instrumental also gets sparkly at the end with what is possibly a bridge. It's a fun combination that does a lot for the song in its variability because otherwise it's more of a basic dance track, which is a crime against his talent. There's a lot of repetition is what I'm saying. But the beat is doing a lot of the heavy lifting because this obviously has the choreography to pair with it. It's been a long time since I heard a song that was so destined to be performed with dancing.
I love Jun's accent when he speaks Chinese. There's always something slightly of a menace about it, and I don't know why. We've got a pretty good range of his lower register, ish, and the very pretty floatier notes that he's so good at doing. Because we're well-supported for most of the song, the spots where he gets a little breathier elevate and accent the vocals overall well.
Jun is top credited lyricist on this song. He's so impressive. And he looks stunning in a black jacket with the sparkly black top underneath. Part of that is because he's just gorgeous, and the other part is the stylists needing a raise and deserving their pillows cool on both sides. Actor Jun is a marvel, but we get to see that because this actually has a storyline. Holy time loop, Batman.
