Song Review:: Won (Ciipher): Say that you're sorry

    I picked Ciipher as the group to attach to him because it's the more recent one, and both Ciipher and 1THE9 are about equal in terms of monthly listeners and highest number of streamed songs on Spotify. He has left the group, but I haven't heard of some huge falling out, so I'll give him to Ciipher. If it turns out it was a falling out, then I suppose I will remove it or switch it to 1THE9.

 The instrumentals to this song are softly chipper, like a hug. I'm squinting a little at the song title because it seems a little at odds with the loveliness, but generally, there's nothing explosively energetic or mournful or otherwise temperamental about them. I'll have to take a look at the lyrics. There are certainly parts of the song where the instrumentals back off to really let the vocals take center stage, but generally speaking, the instrumentals are the kind that, without the vocals, would fully qualify to be background music. It's a very pleasant and soothing song.

I'm reminded a lot of Baekho's Love or Die at the beginning. Won has a lovely voice. There's a point where there's about thirty seconds left, where the adlibs are going and they're obviously part of the instrumentals, and he's using a lower register, which he does a couple of times in the song, but it's really nice to listen to. It's very clearly a dip down away from where he normally sings, but where other artists take an opportunity to show off their high notes, the fact that he gets opportunities to do the opposite it really refreshing.
