Song Review:: NAVILLERA: No Limit {Debut}
- Release date: 2026 February 03
- Album tracklist: No Limit
- Album runtime: 3 minutes
Who are you, NAVILLERA? Let's go discover, shall we? They're a four-member group under Troy Entertainment (which is based in Mongolia). The elder two were part of the group KELT9B, which debuted in 2024. I still have their debut song sitting in my drafts, but given that two of them have popped up here and there has been no follow-up since then, we're going to assume that the group has disbanded. That's unfortunate. The other two members are Mongolian, which is the opposite of unfortunate and I think it's really cool. And their debut is a healthy 3:12 seconds with all of the members fully adults, so this is something I really want to support.
You know, if they could get some attention, they could probably do well with this song. I feel like I recognize the genre, though I don't think it's either trap or house (could be wrong, I'm very tired right now because the D&D session last night lasted until 3 am (it was a lot of fact finding and realizing that the vampire lich with a fragment of reality is not our biggest problem)). It's definitely EDM of some sort though, and I couldn't be happier about the fact that there's an EDM dance break. It feels like it might be an afrobeats song, which if it is, would make it the first one I've identified since TUNNEL VISION back in November. It's solid. And I absolutely adore the EDM dance break.
They've got some good voices. I'm really impressed here. The vocalists have big, solid voices that are well-supported and remind me quite a lot of GFRIEND, specifically MAGO era GFRIEND, complete with some vibrato. It's a comparison I wouldn't make lightly, but I still think it's an apt one. The rapping on the other hand, are somewhere between LE and Moonbyul, again, not a comparison I make lightly because Moonbyul is my girl and I love her. So that's a good combination that we're hearing. I'm pleased with this as a debut. I'm a little less pleased that we only got this song, because I'd like to see what else they can do, but I'm tentatively happy about the group and I hope they fare better than KELT9B.
I was honestly not expecting to see them in baggy mechanic jumpsuits, but here we are. This is more or less a performance video rather than a music video and there's very little storyline here. But. I like the choreography well enough that I'll probably put their stage as the extra stage for the week in the music show wins post.
