There isn't a single song on here that is under three minutes. I love him. He can stay attached to the group. The other one who is no longer in the group, if he ever decides to make music again, will not, because I continue to follow the leader's cues, much like I do with BTOB. And G-Dragon seems to be deliberate in his actions. So, welcome back, T.O.P. I'm very happy to be here to review this song, even though we all know I am not the biggest fan of rap.
This is a very slow, weighty instrumental with a western guitar going on (and by that I mean country western specifically). We've also going some coin sound effects but largely this is such an unhurried instrumental that even though we do later get some higher, faster beats, it never stops feeling weighty. This is genuinely such a nice instrumental though. There's a good progression without ever feeling overwhelming.
Much like with much of the instrumental, T.O.P's rapping is slow and dense, solid in a way that doesn't surprise me even though I barely know enough about his style to fill a thimble and I understand even less Korean (the comprehension is where I'm suffering though). I am however hearing what sounds like references to at least Squid Game. I actually kind of like his rapping here. It doesn't grate on my nervous system.
Okay, I like the visual flickering. Have I mentioned that I love it when men yearn but this is a full-blown seduction. Of course it is. I'm hilariously unsurprised by the fact that I liked this even without understanding it. I will say though that the cackle I released on the line "I'm kinda known out in Korea" made my cat put his ears back. I'm noticing that it looks like he's making a reference to Still Life. Also, at one point I smiled a little because he reminded me of a peacock with all the feathers extended and strutting, trying to impress a potential mate.
