This song is so soft at the start, relying on the vocals and background vocals to set the mood, but even once the beat kicks in and the synth starts to synth, it still stays so soft because of that extended note from whatever that instrument is. It's got weight. It's got power. There are a couple of spots where it pretends to kick up its heels a little, but the actual speed never actually increases and the energy level remains surprisingly heavy and occasionally chaotic.

I have a high suspicion that I'm probably going to get to confirm with the music video if the lyrics are included what I think I'm hearing, because if I'm hearing it and understanding the little I'm understanding correctly, you go, TOP. We get to hear him sing just a little bit, with the stylistic autotune applied. I'm surprisingly okay with this, and I think part of it is because even with the autotune, it sounds like he's got one of my favorite things, which is the rapper rasp. Vocally, there's a lot going on because of the under layer with the background vocals, and there are a couple of spots toward the end where it's almost too much. But overall, because of how generally soft the song is, it works really well.

THAT IS MY GIRL NANA! In you missed when I mentioned it because I love her for it, she and her mom beat the crap out of a home intruder recently and now she's here in TOP's music video. Second gen icons, kings and queens. The slightly psychedelic, kaleidescope look to this music video (on top of this feeling a lot like a Squid Game set). I am glad to have the confirmation that I was hearing what I thought I was hearing. You tell them, TOP.
