Song Review:: In A Minute: Monthly MINUTE Vol.3- Gravity
- Release date: 2025 September 26
- Album tracklist: Gravity, Gravity - instrumental
- Album runtime: 5 minutes
Look, I recognize that I'm currently behind work the October reviews, but this one has been nagging at me because I love this group. They're one of my new rookie groups. This one is their monthly minute for September (missed the ones for July and August), and it clocks in at a grand total of two-and-a-half minutes. That last part irritates me, as expected, but they have had longer songs and this feels like more of a project song than a full release. It's not an ideal world, but I am very much rooting for this group and I hope they can get some traction.
There's a soft whimsy or wistfulness to the instrumental that I am fully on board with. There's not a lot of variation to the song, mostly consisting of the percussion backing off in a few spots, but with a runtime like this, I'm unfortunately not expecting a lot of it anyway. Still, it is very pretty, very pleasant, and it gives me high hopes for the song as a whole for when the vocals are added in. To be fair, at the very start, it does feel a little bit heavier than the rest of the song, but it doesn't last long before the softness comes in.
I love their voices. Such a good combination of the higher voices that K-Pop as a whole seems to prefer as well as a lower, grounding voice that I love to hear. Plus, it's all bundled together in a lovely love song that almost makes me want to coo over how pretty it is. Not a high energy song, definitely R&B, but not big or bold enough for me to really classify it as a ballad either. Still, it's definitely going in my soothing playlist. And it wouldn't be a review from me if I didn't mention their vibrato. Because it's gorgeous and I love it.
No music video, just a live clip. And I'm not sure why the combination of the covered forehead and the glasses is so attractive. But they're pretty.
