That's such a cute play on words that I needed to do a review of this one. Not that I can listen to the group for ages because the maknae turned fourteen after they debuted, but I want this on here so that in four years when I can listen to the group, I can add this to my Christmas playlist. I'm assuming I'm going to love it. Why wouldn't I?
Okay, this is what I'm looking for. If you listen carefully, buried underneath everything else is the sound of bells. It's very subtle but adds such a good extra texture to the song. You've got chimes up above that are much more audible, and the occasional brass instrument, but it's just such a bright song. There is a shift to the dramatic at about the two-thirds mark, which brings me joy, and not just because the two thirds mark isn't a minute and a half. This is a good addition to the winter and Christmas songs.
I'm really annoyed that I can't add it to my playlists. Equally annoyed that the maknae debuted at thirteen because if you give her voice a few more years to develop and strengthen, she'd have been a powerhouse. She probably still will be, but it's just unfortunate that she's going to have to do that with public eyes on her. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to go through puberty with international attention. Anyway, the reason why I like this seasonal kind of song so well is because we always get really good vocals out of people. And that same mark where I noted all the drama in the instrumental, they start referencing the classic songs, with ad-libs, some rapping, and some big voices. It ends so well, because this will make such a good song to perform, if they can get to perform it. That ending is designed to hype up the crowd, and being at the end as it is, it's a good high note.
This is just a lyric video, so there's not a lot to comment on. It does look like there is a dance challenge though, and it's freaking adorable, so I'm going to include that as well.
