- Album runtime: 6 minutes
So this is a thing that I wasn't expecting, and I'm glad that I did the OST to find out that they dropped this music video for their anniversary. That's genuinely so sweet. I love that.
In my review of the title track, I said, "As promised, I took a listen to Dreamin' as well, and this one is a bit jazzier and later in K-Pop sounds. This one circles around OH MY GIRL and GFRIEND circa 2016. We get some rapping in this one, so I think I was right about that being a rapper rasp in Drama Queen, but it fits together really well, and I like this one as well." Months later? My original feelings have not changed. There's a very chill steadiness to this song that I appreciate hearing, because it's still got a solid energy there, but it's also a good compliment to the cheery, energetic title track. I can practically see the choreography for this song, and while it's not the most intense or powerful, something I do genuinely like to see, because this is a b-side, I don't need the big choreography, even if it would be nice. Still, what I'm looking for in the choreography this time is something sharp and clean to match this instrumental.
I love that you can hear the ad-libs lingering in the background of the song there at the end. They don't steal focus. They just provide a quiet extra layer to the song to finish on without being too overly dramatic, which would have weakened the rest of the song. I'm pleased with the writing and producing there. If voices could be both floaty and grounded at the same time, that's what this song would be giving us. And, again, the rapping is so good here. It gives such a needed, extra texture to the song.
The music video is a behind the scenes montage from their first year! Oh! Oh, I love this! This is so cute.
