  • Album runtime: 9 minutes

I have no idea how to pronounce the album title. Apparently it translates to "original" in Japanese, though I still have no idea how to pronounce it, but at least I've got another point of orientation for understanding and comprehension. I'm also really curious with their situation because apparently they've left RBW, but they're also working with RBW still? I'm not sure how that's going to work, but hey, if it works, that can only be good news for other groups.

This song has a strong street vibe to the instrumental. I'm not sure exactly what the word for the siren whistle that is fairly prevalent but not omnipresent is, but I'm grateful that it's not there as much as it isn't because otherwise it would easily overpower the song. And, when it comes back in after the beginning, it's been buried underneath the percussion, so it flavors the song nicely, again, without being overpowering. We've got some science fiction warbling and blasts, which is very appropriate for the song. And there's a spot of a cappella, which is perfect because it lets the song rest briefly from everything that's going on before getting back to it. That's what we call excellent use of silence as an active player rather than simply relying on sound to achieve the purpose of the song.

I'm not overly fond of how repetitious the song is. That's fine. Not every song is going to land well for me even when I historically like the group. We do have a lot of textures going on vocally, which is something I do like. The song is a little interestingly balanced, where it kind of sounds like the instrumental is a little loud for how not loud most of the vocals are. There's not enough oomph to need it as it is.

I love how many Atinys stopped by in the comments. They're not the only fandom I saw in my brief perusal after I watched the music video and while I was chewing on the music video a little. But I saw a lot of them, and that's so sweet to stop by in support while ATEEZ is trying to take their fans out with the upcoming comeback.

I'm a little curious about why there are only four of them. I remember them having more members than this. Hmmm. I'll go look it up later, but I'm willing to believe it's enlistment era. I feel like there's a little bit of a storyline going on here, but largely it's a lot of vibes.
