It's just pre-release central up in here right now. And if you missed my last review of a Wonho song, I'm giving him back to his group because I'm so annoyed with the circumstances behind his being forced out, and I'm sure that feeling is double for fans. Also, I am still intending to cover the song that he released over the summer as a review. Just for the record. Also, fingers crossed that we get good song lengths. I'm noticing we are moving away from that, we've got a better chance than we used to. This one is close, so I'm not going to be too grumpy yet.
We've got a little bit of the haunted doll piano. It's not strong enough that I'm wanting to toss it into that category, but it is present enough that, combined with the lyrics, gives the song a bit of a horror feel in general. But we've also got the spooky strings being plucked, which I am all about. Is this technically a horror song? Not a clue. But it feels like it and the instrumental is setting that mood.
I'm going to say right now that I love the rhyming of "Watch me set this place on fire" and "But you're just a good liar." I was really, really hoping that that's where the song would go. I also really love the line "Secrets don't stay secret very long." I am noticing that he's been doing a lot of all English songs, which I like because my Korean is still technically pretty terrible and this means that I don't need translations, but I really do just like the sound of Korean, especially when sung, so I am a little bit sad in that regard.
This is a lyric video, not a music video, so there's not a lot I can really say about it (other than loving that it has the English and the Korean together). Although the scribbles over the face remind me a little bit of Pattern the Cryptic Spren.
