  • Album runtime: 10 minutes

With DK now enlisted and Mingyu about to enlist, which tells you when I'm writing this regardless of when it actually gets posted, I'm feeling emotionally fragile, so I'm going to do this now. Since we're actually really close to getting him back. And this was for his birthday, which makes me happier.

There's a violin. Instant approval. And five whole minutes of song. I love him. I love that he gave us this as a gift. The instrumental is softly cinematic with very distinct sections that allow for enough variation that it can actually move and flow. The piano is the most delicate instrument of the bunch, but it carries the weight of supporting his vocals more than any of the others. This is such a pretty instrumental, and I love that.

You know how amusing it is that the deep-voiced rapper of Seventeen and their hip-hop unit has such a deep love of ballads that almost every single solo song he's released (along with the JxW subunit songs) has been a ballad? Man is really showing off that he got accepted to Pledis as a trainee originally as a vocalist. Born to be a balladeer, made into a rapper. And he's got such a lovely voice between the rapper rasp and the vibrato. His voice has a delicious amount of texture. The really fun part of the song, other than the range that's being exhibited, is the key change. That's right. Wonwoo gave us a key change in this slice-of-comfort-pie song. Simply incredible. Other than the rasp, you'd never know he was a rapper. Flex that voice, sir.

This is so stinking cute and I'm all up in the feels because it's so many feels. And it's human-made, not AI.
